In vitro Gene Expression Study of Cosmetic Product
Project Description:
PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, one of the leading cosmetic manufacturing companies in Indonesia that produces cosmetic brands such as Wardah, Emina, Make Over and others, has proposed to do a collaboration project for in vitro evaluation of one of their skincare products for sensitive skin. By measuring how the product would affect the signaling pathways, cosmetic manufacturers can claim the efficacy of their product following proposed mechanisms that are proven through in vitro results of keratinocytes treatment with products with regards to how they affect the gene regulation of the skin cells. The project will include measuring gene expression regulation through RT-qPCR in human keratinocytes cell line with product treatment as well as related measurements to evaluate the viability of the keratinocyte cell line upon contact with the product.
